Whether it’s Distortion Festival or Copenhagen Fashion Week, I always look forward to coming back up north—either just hanging out, getting some crazy fashion shopping and popping done, or spinning at some seedy backyard venue.
What’s definitely a burner is the fact that there is far more of a female population than anywhere else I’ve been. Plus I love late sunsets. Bright evening skies during summertime make you feel perpetually awake.
Wolfram MarfloW Eckert, a talented DJ and producer who has played some of the world’s finest clubs with his italo antics—not to mention being a mix-robot on the Cybernetic Broadcasting System—runs the Diskokaine record label.
The label is still a fledgling, with just a few releases under its belt. But from its inception, Diskokaine has been an imprint true to its roots. First off, the Diskokaine records look like they were designed by the forefathers of italo disco with their bloated label lettering and flashy sleeves. Put the needle on a track and find that every aspect of the Diskokaine label gets your senses going.
