It’s late. Or is it early? Thanks to being so far north in the hemisphere, sometimes we can’t really ever tell. So instead of trundling off to bed at 3am, why not trundle over to this centrally located bar for some Czech beer and spirits?
You wouldn’t be the first one. Since 1917 this Copenhagen establishment has served thirsty customers drinks within a smoky red baroque-style wallpapered interior. Today the scene is diverse, including the young and the hip sipping on schnapps, more practiced bohemians wetting their whistles and the weathered old mainstays pouring down pints. Like any good institution, this one harbors time-honored traditions, like serving hard boiled eggs as an antidote to intoxication. And to further maintain the atmosphere of old, cell phone use is strictly prohibited.
