We don’t usually associate swimming with Scandinavian cities like Copenhagen—normally reserved for warmer climates like, say, New York—but the Harbour Bath provides ample reason for us to dip our toes into the water.
Born in the space of the old Langebro pools, which closed in 1953 due to poor sanitation, the public swimming pools were reinstated in Harbor Park in 2002 to much success since it’s constantly replenished with the fresh Islands Brygge channel water. This five-pool swimming center has become a popular destination for Copenhagers, from businessmen going for a splash after work to the families and children cooling off on a warm Sunday afternoon.

Fagget Fairys The experimental ghetto-punk dykes
A new and very popular summer spot in Copenhagen is this vibrant and unfortunately at times dirty ghetto beach. However the sea water is clean and you can be sure to get refreshed when you dive in! Also this "beach" is a place to check out a booty or two, have a drink, play petang, basketball or water polo, .....??
Architecture To-Go Copenhagen's fashion-forward buildings
Walk across Langebro on a sunny Saturday afternoon in the summer, you'll see a very peculiar sight: people actually take dips in the harbor. The Harbor bath was designed by PLOT, one of Copenhagen's younger architectural firms that is now defunct and has split into JDS and BIG Architects.
