Copenhageners and visitors to the city alike will have a unique opportunity to experience electronic music of an international standard. The STRØM schedule features live music events with an emphasis on variety and meticulous attention to detail. After a successful debut in the summer of 2007, STRØM—Copenhagen's festival of electronic music—will once again take centre stage at the inviting Enghaveparken venue located in Vesterbro. This year's festival offers free concerts on Friday and Saturday until midnight, after which the music continues with live performances and DJs at clubs situated in Copenhagen's new creative urban space, Kødbyen. The six days of the festival spanning from Tuesday 12 August to Sunday 17 August will see the music spread across the city, from nightclubs and venues such as Vega, Culture Box, Rust, Nadsat and Stengade 30 to more alternative spaces such as Trinitatis Church near the Round Tower and downtown Mikkel Bryggers Gade near the Grand Theatre. STRØM is organised by a steering committee consisting of representatives from ROSA—the Danish Rock Council, Amager Bio, DR (Danish Radio), Vega, Wonderful Copenhagen and monitors from the Municipality of Copenhagen, Art & Culture.
