David Lynch keeps surprising us. After last year’s nightmare opus Inland Empire, the headstrong American director now turns his digital camera towards the real world. David Lynch’s Documentary Project was established by Lynch as a caravan project, where his film crew during the course of two months has crossed the American continent and immortalized ordinary people in small five minute vignettes. But things never end up being completely ordinary from Lynch’s perspective.

The project is devised as a longer series, but screens for on of the first times here as an exclusive taster of Lynch’s documentary project (with an introduction by the film’s producer). To conclude the evening, the sequel to last year’s portrait film L Y N C H, namely L Y N C H 2 screens.
